Come learn about successful trial-court practice from a distinguished panel of superior court judges.  AWLA-member Judge Patricia Starr, a former law clerk to the Hon. Jefferson Lankford, was elevated to the bench in 2014 after a distinguished career in public interest and after serving as Superior Court Commissioner for three years. During her time as a judicial officer, she has presided over criminal, mental health, and civil court calendars. AWLA-member Judge David Gass, a former law clerk to the Hon. Ruth McGregor, was elevated to the bench in 2009 after a distinguished career at a large law firm followed by a career in public interest. He has presided over family, criminal, and civil court calendars.

In order to receive the pre-paid luncheon price of $20 for members/$30 for non-members/$15 for law students, you MUST pre-pay with your credit card on the website BY THE RSVP DEADLINE. DO NOT MAIL IN CHECKS. If you make a reservation but do not pay on the website with your credit card, you must pay an additional $5 by check or cash at the door ($25 members/$35 non-members/$20 law students). If you cancel after the registration deadline, or do not show up for a luncheon for which you have registered, and you have not paid, you will be billed at the "at the door" price. We pay for the number of meals we guarantee so we must bill you.
