The Commission on Appellate Court Appointments is currently accepting applications for a new Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission (IRC). The IRC's mission is to redraw Arizona’s congressional and legislative districts to reflect the results of the most recent census. The IRC consists of two Republicans, two Democrats and an independent chair. Join one of two presentations discussing the IRC and the application and nomination process, hosted by Kendra Johnson Alvarez, Arizona State Director of All On The Line. Kendra, a Tucson native, is working to ensure a transparent and fair redistricting process in Arizona. This role continues a career of public service in federal government and non-profit work, most recently as a Congressional aide in Southern Arizona. Kendra brings years of experience as a community advocate, caseworker, and organizer to her role. She is the daughter of two public school teachers in the Tucson area and has grown up with a love of hiking, running and enjoying the Arizona outdoors.
