Sneak Peek at some of our sessions:

Making Decisions: the Role of Reason, Emotion, and Bias - Yours and Others'
As lawyers, we make judgments and decisions daily, and the decisions we regularly make have consequences for those around us, including those we work and interact with, as well as those affected by our work. Our minds, our personalities, our life experiences, and the social structures around us influence how we take in, process, and use information in our decision-making, often in the form of biases, assumptions and expectations. This session will explore the impacts of bias, assumptions, and expectations on various aspects of legal practice including interactions with clients and colleagues. We'll also discuss measures to identify and address biases, assumptions and expectations both in how we relate to others and how others relate to us.

Standing up for Change: African-American Women and the Civil Rights Movement
Take a virtual tour of this thought provoking exhibit at the Women's History Museum. In the 20th century, African-American women formed the backbone of the modern Civil Rights Movement. They were the critical mass, the grass roots leaders challenging America to embrace justice and equality for all. This program discusses women's critical roles in the Montgomery Bus Boycott, Little Rock's Central High School integration, and the little known women behind the scenes of the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. Join us to explore the Civil Rights movement through the perspectives of its women leaders.
