It’s so easy to fall into unhealthy patterns that don’t serve us, yet so difficult to change. These patterns take many forms and plague us in various ways while having this common thread of being tough to overcome.
As lawyers, we often put our work and our clients before ourselves and ignore our personal needs. Plus, due to the enormous stress inherent in working in the legal system, we often resort to alcohol and/or drug dependency, and other compulsive behaviors, as a means to escape.
Are you feeling trapped and held hostage by patterns that are no longer serving you? Do you feel alone in this regard? Do you feel embarrassed?
