The Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) is a new law that requires covered employers to provide “reasonable accommodations” to a worker’s known limitations related to pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions, unless the accommodation will cause the employer an “undue hardship.” Join Gina Carrillo and Kianna Sarvestani as they review changes under this Act and related laws. GINA E. CARRILLO is Of Counsel at Chambers Law and leads the firm’s Employment Law practices. She focuses her practice on employment law, supporting both employees and employers in their legal needs. She formerly was a Senior Trial Attorney for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and earned her law degree from Villanova University.

KIANNA SARVESTANI is a 2023 graduate of ASU Law School who has recently joined Chambers Law as an Associate Attorney. She specializes in general business litigation and transactional matters with a specific interest in securities regulation. Originating from Fayetteville, Arkansas, Kianna brings a fresh and unique perspective to her practice, helping clients navigate the complexities of various business matters.
